Psychics, mediums, aging gypsies, whatever they are or claim to be use, amongst other techniques, something called Cold Reading. (That’s a pretty brief explanation).
Cold Reading is the very clever use of language and dialogue and can be used to give the impression that the person giving the ‘reading’ really does know things about the gullible participant. It is an old technique which has been used and developed through the ages. There is much to it.
