I love Apple’s New iPod Touch

I just picked up Apple’s new iPod Touch and I have to say I have fallen head over heels in love with this beautiful piece of technology.

I was a little concerned about how the interface would work - touch screen and all that malarkey, but no, the interface is a dream to use - and zooming in and out of photos and web pages is an ethereal experience.

Safari works just great, though wont render flash, which is a shame, but certainly not the end of the world. There is a Youtube app though which works very well - with great quality video.

Every man and woman who has seen my ipod touch this weekend has marveled at its beauty and functionality. Women seemed more amazed actually. I think it’s something to do with the graceful action of thumbing through photos that makes people go ‘oooh’.

OK so it doesn’t have a phone - but I don’t care. I have a phone thanks, and with wireless networks covering more and more of London the ‘touch totally comes into its own here. The Cloud even has a special deal for the iPod Touch.

I came into work this morning, hit the ‘locate’ button on the Navizon GPS software I just installed, and lo and behold it placed me bang on with a pin on Google maps. Quite something.

With the help of the excellent and easy to use Jailbreak my ‘touch thinks it is an iPhone anyway, and now has all the apps that the iPhone comes with as standard. There’s also loads of sites popping up with iPhone Apps and modifications.

I can also Sync Entourage, and iCal with the ‘touch with no trouble at all.

On top of this I have my favourite films and music with me on this thing, and it fits in my wallet. I am a very happy bunny.
