Personally, I think the ‘pod’ theory is on very shaky ground, having had quite a bit of experience enhancing low-resolution images in my time … but the controlled demolition theory, OTOH, is quite compelling. And really, I’d say those two are an either/or proposition. If the buildings were demolished from within, there’d be no need to fire any missiles at them. Just ramming planes into them as a distraction would be quite sufficient.
